23rd may - always look....

before u kick. yet another harsh lesson learnt in life ><" harsh as in harsh consequences, not so much of a 'harsh fact of life'

was standing around in the kitchen yesterday waiting for my food in the oven, when i got abit bored and started doing some excerise and well... some kicking. it ended abruptly when i spun around, stretched my leg out.... and "BAM!" the outside of my right foot made contact with the edge of a row of cabinets.

the immediate reaction was "WAH KAO, SIBEI TIAH ARHHH!!!"
5 mins later the bruising started to surface, 10 mins later, swelling was quite obivious. as a matter of fact, its so bad, it hurts even when i walk, even today. i still cant decide if the cabinet was hard or i kicked hard ><"

anyways today marks the 2nd day that i've imposed the 'no-wow' rule on myself. basically, i jus needed to cut down on entertainment until the exams are over.

the academic schedule here is abit wierd, we have classes up til week 13 (which is next week) and i already have a paper on week 14, and 3 others on week 15. how packed... not really much of a study break huh? as a matter if fact i have an assignment due next friday too, a web assignment. thankfully its something that i'm actually good at, for once. i just started doing yesterday and if i work hard enough, it should be done by tonight, if not tmr. if i get anything below 90, i'll be upset, lets just put it this way ;p

bleh, gotta rush off for a lecture now

9th May - panic attack!

Goodness, the past week was a absolute mess. i somehow managed to scare myself into thinking that i NEEDED to vote, or get fined, which was not true. overseas voting isnt compulsary, however if u do not turn up for voting, your name will be removed from the registry of voters (which means u wont be allowed to vote in the future), unless u get ur name restored, it costs $5 to do so unless u have a valid reason (overseas studies is considered to be a valid reason)

last friday i had an assignment that was due on that day itself at 5pm, i officially started typing out the assignment on thursday night. to be fair, i didnt exactly only start doing the assignment entirely on thursday, i had been thinking abt it, i knew what i was going to write... so its only doing the research and getting my ideas down on paper.

something happened however that nearly spoilt all my plans and made me jump around in panic - i locked myself out of my room. how? i was heading to the library jus b4 dinner time to get my research done, so i thought "travel light, all i need is a file, thumbdrive and ... a pen." i grabbed those, locked my door and went out. as soon as i stepped out.... "ay... wait a min... where are my keys?" *frozen* *panic* *jumps around*

NOOOOOO!!! OMFG!!! I LEFT MY KEYS IN MY ROOM!!!

that was sososososososo STUPID, who the fark leaves his own keys in his rooms and locks it??? ARGHHHHH!!!!

wait... maybe got chance... hostel manager shd have a master key...

NOOOOO!! not around... chum chum... 20 hrs left on the clock until the deadline and this nonsense happens.... GG ah koon.

i didnt even dare leave the complex on the minute chance that none of my roommates are coming back for the night, totally locking me out of the complex, shd i proceed with my plan and go to the library for my research.

i went to prepare an early dinner and was forced to watch tv, as there was nothing at all i could do, i was essentially stuck in the living room.

a gd 2.5 hrs went by..... then one of my roommates came back, we tried to use his keys on my room (didnt work), toyed with the idea of clmbing thru the window (didnt work either) *sigh*

then we decided to go back to the manager's office... wait a min... the lights are on!

/door opens
*WOOT*

heh, it was quite embarassing to have to describe that i actually locked myself in.... ker noob.
and she did scare me for awhile, the 1st 2 keys that she tried on my door wont open it, luckily she managed to find one that eventually did.

managed to get the assignment done on that night *phew*

some good news, my phone is back in working condition again, i was mentioning the problem to my dad the other day and he said "the charger is damaged" i was like... "eh? how come u so sure?" i didnt voice it out thou, but apparently he went to get a 2nd hand charger and mailed it to me, got it in my mailbox today. turns out my old charger really wasnt working. oh wow, i didnt know my dad knew so much abt handphones *heh*

alright, back to prepare my next assignment *sigh*

2nd may - and things start to go wrong....

sigh, things arent quite working out very well here.
my phone jus recently decided to stop working, actually the phone is still working, but its not charging and now the battery is flat. i have no idea at all which is damaged, the phone, the battery or the charger and neither do i have any spares to test any of the theories.

internet connection here has actually become less erratic, it is now.... consistantly slow.

voting problems, i for the 1st time in my life, actually have to vote in the coming weekend's election. guess what? i have no idea at all how or where to do it. what i do know is that 1) my area's definately affected 2) its compulsary 3) its a $1k fine if i fail to do so. i'm so screwed.

weather is turning cold here. brrr. when i 1st got here, i regreted not bringing more singlets, now i'm regreting not bringing more thick clothes. lips kept drying and even cracking. even danduff's starting to appear. annoyance.

if theres any good news at all, i've accidently found a new supermarket recently. i was looking for a domino's pizza shop (long story, involves me calling for pizza delivery and ending up having to pay arms and legs for 1 medium pizza and a side order), which i suspect is around the area when i stumbled upon the supermarket. its certainly is nearer to where i normally shop, choices are limited thou, but thats 1 more place to keep in mind.

and gaming wise, the guild has finally down ragnaros, last boss of molten core, finally completing this instance which we've been at for 3 months. while i didnt win any significant items, this is a major milestone.

*heh, this holidays was much less productive that i thought it would be, what i tot shd have been alot of going out and doing revision. ended up as holing up in my room all week on the computer. if it helps i actually started a hunter character, which is now lvl 32 ><"
