27th jul - the 1st day at work

work randomly began today when someone called in sick and i was called up as a stand in. as a matter of fact i'll also be working this friday and saturday despite only supposing to start only in august, which is fine since i have the time to burn anyway. work = more money and less time to spend it, slacking on the other hand = having too little money and too much time to spend it.

speakng of which, i jus realised that all the work that i did today is only enough to pay for a 1st pod in the prerelease and having like... $2 change, which isnt even enough for lunch. pathetic things you'll do for gaming - working for free to feed hobbies. i finally understand how it seems impossible for me to save money, there are simply too many things that i'm playing/collecting. a fact that i've only realised too late.

work today was fine, except the computer program isnt too user friendly (neither is the bar code scanner), i'll probably need sometime to get used to it. the weekly work schedule is also distributed out as an excel spreadsheet, which is unfortunate since i do not have excel at home. bah, i'll have to get my hands on a copy of excel... soon, i think. yea, apart from that, its probably just brushing up abit on customer management. then again there's also alot of stuff thats not taught to me yet.. so i'll just keep my fingers crossed for now and hopefully my performance for today is satisfactory.

k, so basically i rest for 1 day, then i'll have to help run magic events for the next couple of days. collect my pay on saturday then dump it into the endless pit of card gaming on sunday. sounds like a plan, albeit a really horrible sounding one.
