Letters to my future self

8th nov - 2 down, 2 more to go

my 2 most difficult papers are over! actually come to think of it, my accounting paper was less terrifying then i had imagined, out of the 2 sections (mcq and practical sums), i actually had to ponder over the questions in the mcq section while for the practical section i jus breezed through the whole thing.

last 2 papers are supposed to be the easiest ones... next up is employment relationships, which is a 50 mcq paper *rolls eyes* tutors said its a straight forward paper, so i dont think theres much to worry abt... i mean, 50 mcq? how hard can it get? *frown*

last paper is FnB, which i'm almost certain to get a distinction... if i do fairly well for the exam. the pre-exam marks put me into a high credit-distinction range, which is gd. i was also told i scored the highest marks in my class for the practical sessions in the restaurant. *go me!*

was watching a documentary jus now on tv, abt 'tank man', the guy who got caught on camera, during the 1989 tiananmen incident where he tried to block the progression of a column of tanks by standing in its way. came back online and read up abit more abt the tiananmen square itself. it would seem that apart from being a symbol of great cultural significance, it was also a site a numerous politcial events, like the may fourth movement and the above mentioned 1989 protests.

the 1989 protests in particular seems to have a very big impact on the history of china. the government, seemed to be censoring away information on that event, which goes as far as getting google to block the related material on its china portal. wikipedia was also said to have been blocked to china users partly due to the uncensored material on the protests.

interesting? personally, i would like to be able to see the square myself in person... one day.

17 days more until i'm back in sgp!
