Letters to my future self

Feb 7th - Life's a journey - current chapter: Downunder

ok, i've finally arrived in australia. currently in my room, which is not a bad place. plenty of sun, theres breeze too, considering i'm on the ground floor. supposed to share the apartment with 2 others, but no one's here yet.

some amenities nearby, ad subway for lunch. but supposingly, the nearest place for grocery shopping is some 20-25 mins walk away. havent really explored around yet, prob will try that tmr .

*note to self: to find a way to jam the door, keeps slamming due to the breeze.

anyway a briefly feedback on the trip here:

6th: 12 am - trying to figure out how the damn lock on the suitcase works, when eventually i got fustrated, randomly flicked some numbers .... and it locked. my dad had to do the "trial and error" until eventually we found the number that i locked the suitcase in.

6th: 2am - finally done most of the packing, went to bed

6th: 5pm - collected new glasses in town, headed for the airport

6th: 6pm - checked in, flight was delayed by some 15 mins or so. got assigned like the worse seats possible, me and my cousin were in the same fight, so we requested to be seated together and they put us right in the middle 2 seats in the middle row (which essentially means the middle 2 seats of the 4 seater.) Teetee.

6th: 9pm - final gdbyes and phototaking b4 we went in for boarding.

6th: 9.30 - seated in the plane, but it was pretty stuffy. very packed plane.

6th: 10.30 - watched march of the penguins in-flight

7th: 1.30 - went to sleep aft the movie, but woke up at 1.30 cos it was too freaking hot. kept sneezing.

7th: 3am - woke up for the same reasons. god, i can hardly feel the air conditioning and to think me and my cousin were still joking abt how brave a certain singaporean was, boarding the plane in a singlet. mymy, i think he had the last laugh.

7th: 5.30am - arrived. time difference here is +2 hrs from sg. so its abt 7.30am here.

7th: 8.30am (auz time from here onwards) - finally cleared the customs, uni reps picked me up at the airport

7th: 9.30am - abt an hr's drive from brisbane: gold coast. dropped off at where my lodging is, chked in. 1st thing 1st, setup the comp :P

7th: 11am - went over to the uni, some 10-15 mins walk away to sign up for the orientation program. got lunch at subway on my way back.

7th: 1pm - went for a nap, to make up for the lost sleep during the flight. very very tired.

so there... everythings quite alright now, cept well... connection speed's not that great and i'm capped at 3gb/month. minimal wow-ing i guess ><"
